Olde English Bulldogge’s Best Qualities
We believe that correct structure and conformation is extremely important in the functionality of our Olde English Bulldogges. What we consider to be ideal are Old English Bulldogges that stand 16.5 to 18 inches tall at the withers, weigh 55 to 75 pounds, and display a large head with a short, broad muzzle of 1.5 to 2 inches in length. The chest should be wide and deep giving the dog a broad, short appearance. We believe that proper movement is a direct reflection of correct structure. We are committed to breeding Old English Bulldogge puppies that are proportionate, well-balanced, flexible, and sound.
Aggression is not tolerated from our dogs and we would never breed a dog that demonstrated an aggressive or dangerous temperament. We carefully select bulldogges from bloodlines that are consistently stable in temperament. Our bulldogges are members of our family. They go on walks, go boating with us, and have lots of play time every day. It is important to us that our dogs are capable of interacting with people properly. The Olde English Bulldogge is courageous, loyal, and loving.
We only use very healthy and capable bulldogges in our breeding program that are free of skin, joint, and breathing problems. We have a close working relationship with our veterinarians. We spare no expense when it comes to proper veterinary care of our dogs.
We regularly keep puppies from our litters to evaluate as future breeding prospects. This allows us to directly observe what we are producing and build on the characteristics that we find desirable with every generation. Olde South strives to produce a better litter of Olde English Bulldogge puppies with every breeding.
Selecting Your Olde English Bulldogge Puppy
Pick-of-the-litter is offered as an option on every litter. First pick and second pick deposit is $500. We notify the families with deposits 7 days after the puppies have arrived and send photos of the puppies at 9 days old. The family has 48 hours to select a puppy or forfeit their choice. If the person with the first pick option fails to select a puppy the photos are sent to the family with second pick of the litter. All pups start at $3500 breeding rights are not included. Pictures are taken of each litter of pups at 4 and 6 weeks of age. We do not honor any other photo requests for pups that are sold and waiting for their release day. Selected pups are held for the buyer until pick up or shipping day at 9 weeks of age. Once pups reach 14 days of age they are put on the market. The pick-of-the-litter deposit allows a family to choose a puppy before they are put on the market. Puppies are not held without a deposit . A family can switch their deposit one time before the litter reaches 6 weeks of age. The balance is due at pick up. All deposits can be applied to the adoption of any puppy up to 2 years after receipt. Breeder reserves the right to chose pups for the breeding program before any first pick option.
